1984-W Olympics Gold Commemorative

The
1984-W Olympics Gold Commemorative was the first gold commemorative coin issued by the US Mint in more than 50 years. It is also the first US coin to bear the "W" mint mark to designate the West Point mint. The coins were issued in both uncirculated and proof versions. The mintage for uncirculated coins was
75,886 and the mintage for proof coins was
381,085.
